Darth Vader is back on Tatooine, standing near a moisture plantation watching the sunset. Aphra joins him, inquiring what they are looking for, the farm holds no life. Vader responds that this is where one of the heroes of the Rebels grew up, they were here to find a clue to the location of the boy.
Aphra remarks at the irony that if the Stromtroopers hadn't have killed his family the boy may have never left, the Death Star wouldn't have been blown up and the Empire wouldn't have a problem.
They leave the farm, placing a bomb to remove all evidence of anyone being there. Vader leaves Aphra to clean up as he has other things he needs to take care of.
Vader joined by stormtroopers attack a group of smugglers. He slaughters the smugglers with ease the proceeds to the vault the smugglers were safeguarding. He opens the vault and trillions of credits fall out. Vader orders the troopers to confiscate everything and prepared to be shipped out.
Vader then meets with the Hutts. He gifts them the planet's underground with a warning that if the Hutts overstep their bounds, he will make them regret it.
On the other side of the galaxy, Aphra is building a team for Vader. They have both been scheming a takeover of the Empire, so Aphra's team will steal trillions of credits from the Empire.
They head off into space and find the ship carrying the trillions of credits. Aphra takes out an asteroid, carrying the remains in front of the ship, stopping its advance. Using the remains of the asteroid as cover, the team attach themselves to the ship and without being seen, slip inside. They then kill all of the droid guards.
In space, their pilot, a Wookie, is getting their ship into position, while the astromech droid turns of a gravity field to catch the credits as they float out into space. A bigger piece of the leftover asteroid hits the Empire ship and the credits start to leak out. However, only some of the credits are saved while a large amount disappears into space.
The team is disgruntled but will be fine and the team disbands.
It is then revealed that the large number of credits that drifted into space, had been picked up and delivered to Vader. Aphra had cheated her team.
Aphra and Vader stand before their credits. Having now acquired a droid army, bounty hunters, credits to pay the bounty hunters, they plan their next move. Vader wants more information on an elusive person. Aphra asks if it is the boy. Vader states it is not, but find this information in a month or Vader will contact her and she doesn't want that. Vader leaves.
Vader reports to a commanding officer. The officer commends Vader on the quick dispatchment of a criminal organisation, the Plasma Devils. He informs Vader that some of the Emperor's "replacements" will be joining them for the final assault. Vader is furious but says nothing. The officer assigns Vader a new assistant, Inspector Thanoth, to keep track of Vader
Vader and Thanoth are checking on the highjacked ship. Thanoth tells Vader he does not believe this was a mere accident. He wants to go with Vader to Anoth Prime, where they will look into this planned accident.
As they arrive, they are greeted by a platoon of stormtroopers guarding the entrance. They enter to discover two of the "replacements" the twins mowing through everyone inside. Thanoth pulls aside one of the people inside before the twins can kill him and with Vader demands to know the location of the Dragon. The informant tells them the Dragon is on Anoth Twelve. Vader knows its a lie. The informant then tells them the Dragon's mansion is in the lower region's of Prime's eastern core. Vader knows this is the truth. The twins join them and kill the informant. Thanoth is furious and gives the twins a mouthful. The twins say they are making a name for themselves and cannot afford to be seen as weak, implying Vader is weak.
Aphra and the Protoco Droid go to the source of info, the Anti, to find this elusive person.
Thanoth leaves Vader to his own devices, to go talk to the Dragon. He wants this to be sutle.
Aphra discovers who Vader seeks, the person who prepared Padme Amidala, Vader's wife, for burial. Vader had been informed by a senator that Amidala had died and the child was lost. Aphra demands to know why Padme's hologram of the burial still looks pregnant but isn't. The man admits that Padme gave birth to a son. The protocol droid proceeds to kill the man and then they burn down his home.
Aphra joins Vader on Anthan Prime to inform him, he was correct Padme gave birth to a son. Vader tells Aphra to find the location of the boy. Aphra asks if they have any problems. Vader tells her of Thanoth. Aphra leaves to find the boy.
Thanoth informs Vader he knows the location of an elusive black market dealer.
Aphra is shown to be getting her info, the Empire attack. The Anti greets Thanoth and Vader and offers access to his library and gives him info on the Plasma Devils.
Aphra runs and the Empire start shooting on the bar patrons. The Anti identifies her as the thief who stole the credits. Thanoth questions her identity. Vader uses the forces to have one of the patrons shoot the Anti. Thanoth states it was an unlucky stray shot.
Aphra runs as quickly as she can, telling the protocol droid to get the ship ready. She runs through a door to be greeted by a furious Vader. Vader starts force choking her. Barely breathing she tells him she knows the location of the boy. Vader drops her. Vader and Aphra walk to her ship. Vader uses the force to crumble a doorway and tells Thanoth who has just caught up she had planned a trap.
Aphra is seen to be outrunning all the tie fighters and command ship. Thanoth seeks to capture her to discover who the mole in the Empire is. Vader states this is pointless, they should attack the Plasma Devils and be done with it. Thanoth agrees with Vader.
They head to the Plasma Devils' base. Vader and the strick force attack the base and eliminate all members of the Plasma Devils in the base. Thanoth and Vader go back to the commanding officer. The officer is upset about losing the thief but Vader takes the blame and states that the choice is easy between crushing the rebels or cashing some lowly thief.
Vader Flies to a small planet to deal with Aphra. Aphra refused to run, she knew that if she were she would anger him further and he would find her anyway. Vader is shocked. Aphra states she wants to work for him. Vader says that the past few days he has gained a respect for what she can do. Vader takes the boy's location and leaves to handle this himself.
Little does Vader realise he is being set up by one of the "replacements"
